THREE Interior Design Trends for 2022

This is a subtitle for your new post

Interior design trends are always fun to keep up with, and 2022 is no different. To find out what to expect this year, and how you can incorporate it into your interior design read on.

DIY, Upcycling, and Sustainability

Sustainability is a huge interior design trend for 2022 as people become more and more eco-conscious. This trend ties in with the DIY and upcycling trend - and rightfully so. Rather than adding to landfill, upcycling your current furniture and décor is a fun DIY project that benefits the planet and your bank account.

Why not upcycle your décor by giving it a new lease of life through a lick of paint, or reuse fabrics from around the house to give cushions an upgrade?

If you really do need new materials, we recommend shopping around - designer furniture and sofas are instantly recognisable but often costly. Look for high street brands selling similar sofas for a fraction of the price.

Cottagecore

Being based in Cumbria, Sassy Property Styling often sees many delightful cottages. In 2022, this is extending as the key trend cottagecore. ‘Cottagecore’ symbolises an idealized rural life, but what does it mean in terms of interior design?

Think familiar florals that are reminiscent of the English countryside, chalk painted surfaces, and organic textures such as wood to recreate a rural feeling indoors.

Shades of Green

Despite Pantone’s colour of the year being a blue-purple hue, it’s actually shades of green that are a key interior design trend for 2022. From sages to deep greens, the trend is thought to have arisen as a result of nature becoming more and more important to us during lockdown.

Green, a peaceful colour, helps bring the outside in. Whether it’s a velvet green pillow, muted green walls, or something else entirely - a shade of green is a must in 2022.

here is a couple of examples where we at Sassy have just used the green tones -
